RAFESA recently joined the family of companies that make up Packaging Cluster, the benchmark organisation in Catalonia that brings together and offers strategic support to a sector that – in Spain alone – represents a turnover of 20 billion euros for more than 2,100 companies.
After joining Beauty Cluster Barcelona in 2017, the company led by Anna Escribano and with a track record of more than 35 years, has taken another step towards consolidating its commitment and role as a key player in the sector through networking. “The experience was very positive. Associating ourselves today with Packaging Cluster is key to staying up-to-date with progress in the sector itself and gaining knowledge about the latest trends at all levels (innovation, sustainability, internationalisation, etc.)”, explained Daniel Sànchez, Sales Manager at RAFESA.
Packaging Cluster is a benchmark organisation today in the world of packaging, responding to the latest trends and challenges in the sector. Its purpose is also to encourage business projects of high added value and to promote the circular economy. “We are very interested in building connections with all member companies in the cluster while also bringing our own knowledge of the packaging sector and actively taking part in efforts to highlight and define the new trends we will experience in the future”, said RAFESA.
According to the company, bringing value to the sector as a whole is key to strengthening the sector and the company itself. “Our vision for the sector is open, inclusive and empathetic. We like to understand, learn, participate and exchange visions and experiences with all those that, like RAFESA, feel passion for this sector”, said RAFESA.
Forming part of the ACCIÓ Catalonia Clusters Programme, Packaging Cluster is also a registered cluster with the Innovative Business Group (Agrupación Empresarial Innovadora, AEI) of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism and received a European Gold rating in cluster management from the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI), which was renewed in 2020.
“Today more than ever, not only do we need to exist but we also need to act in the present. To not be above or below. To stand by those companies that, like RAFESA, bring value to the sector, to the whole value chain. Not from a standpoint of competition but rather collaboration. Our membership of Packaging Cluster will no doubt enable a big-picture approach from the privileged position it offers while also offering an essential tool for growth”, concluded RAFESA.
